Climate Workshop with Tom Remenyi

Tom is a climate scientist with more than 10 years of experience in translating and communicating climate models and information to assist with planning for and adapting to change.

The workshop will cover:

The difference between weather forecasting, seasonal forecasting, and climatology.
Climate change:
- How much should we trust the science?
- How is the climate likely to change in the Coal River Valley?
- What types of decisions should this influence on the farm?

How operations have changed across the region over the last 20 years: Identifying risks and emerging opportunities.

Funding & AcknowledgmentS

This program received funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund.

The Australian Government is contributing $12.4 million over 4 years through the Future Drought Fund under various grants. Hub partners and the University of Tasmania will provide co-contributions of an amount at least equal to the Australian Government funding over the same period.
