Pre-season centre pivot maintenance audit and systems performance check

In-Field Demo Workshop

Tuesday 24 September, 10.00am -12.00noon or 1.00-3.00pm

The TAS Farm Innovation Hub and Pinion Advisory invite you to attend an in-field demo in Campbell Town.

This workshop is suitable for all farm mangers and farm staff looking to improve their confidence, skills, knowledge and understanding to the importance of maintaining centre pivot irrigators and irrigation systems for peak performance.


• Ensuring your machine has the correct pressure at the end of the machine (last sprinkler) and at the highest point. Why is this important and what impact does pressure have on flow rate?
• Basic system health checks at the pump station.
• Complete a pre-season check list for centre pivot/lateral move machines to identify potential maintenance/performance issues pre-season.

The Australian Government is contributing $12.4 million over 4 years through the Future Drought Fund under various grants. Hub partners and the University of Tasmania will provide co-contributions of an amount at least equal to the Australian Government funding over the same period.
