Alana’s role is supported through a partnership between the Hub and the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA). Alana works with climate change related researchers in TIA, along with the industry engagement and extension officers at the Hub to engage with farmers, farming groups, local entrepreneurs, traditional custodians, practitioners in natural resource management, industry, and others in the community, to communicate the learnings of relevant TIA research, and thereby encourage effective adoption. Ultimately, the purpose of this role is to support innovation and adoption of new practices and products that increase Tasmanian farmers resilience to drought and climate change.
