Farming is a tough gig, and the pressure can build up fast. With support from the Tas Farm Innovation Hub, we’re bringing Mary O’Brien to Hobart and Launceston to help Tasmanian farmers and contractors “un‑bog” their mental health. Mary’s down‑to‑earth approach cuts through the stigma and opens up practical ways to look after yourself and your mates.

This session bridges the gap between physical farm safety and mental well-being. From Mary’s relatable machinery analogies to a deep dive into the 'boots on the ground' support available, you’ll walk away with a 'first aid toolbelt' for your mind.

“This event directly aligns with the Hub’s priority of building social resilience and strengthening human capital. True drought resilience extends beyond physical land management; it requires a farming community that is psychologically robust and capable of making critical decisions under pressure.”
